Pre-K/UPK

At New Beginnings, our Pre-K and UPK program is designed for children ages 4 to 6. Through a combination of guided lessons, hands-on exploration, and collaborative projects, we provide a nurturing environment where children grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity—preparing them to embrace new learning opportunities.

Growing Together as Leaders

In Pre-K, children work and learn alongside peers of the same age, building confidence and independence in a supportive environment. Through collaborative activities, group projects, and shared problem-solving, children develop leadership skills, practice teamwork, and learn to support and encourage one another while exploring new ideas.

Curiosity at the Center

We believe children learn best when they follow their interests. Our Pre-K program balances structured activities with opportunities for independent discovery, encouraging children to ask questions, experiment, and think critically while nurturing a lifelong love of learning

Teachers Who Know Each Child

Our educators take time to understand every child individually. Through patient guidance, mentorship, and meaningful interactions, they foster trust, confidence, and independence, supporting children as they take on new challenges and explore new ideas.

Personalized Learning Paths

Every child develops at their own pace. By observing each child’s strengths and interests, our teachers design experiences that are appropriately challenging, engaging, and rewarding—ensuring learning feels relevant, meaningful, and motivating.

Learning Through Action

Hands-on experiences help children connect concepts to the real world. From creative building projects to science experiments, math games, and expressive arts, our classrooms turn ideas into tangible learning, encouraging exploration, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

A Balance of Focus and Play

Children thrive when they have time to concentrate and time to interact. Our days blend independent learning, group projects, outdoor play, storytelling, and creative activities—helping children develop focus, collaboration, and self-expression.

Celebrating Individual Growth

Children in Pre-K continue to develop at their own pace. Our educators recognize and celebrate every milestone, helping each child feel capable, proud, and motivated to continue learning and exploring.

Inspiring Classrooms

Every classroom is carefully designed to promote independence, creativity, and curiosity. Child-sized furniture, accessible materials, and stimulating learning zones allow children to explore, make choices, and take ownership of their learning environment.

Social-Emotional Skills in Action

Pre-Kers practice empathy, cooperation, and communication through teamwork, peer interactions, and guided problem-solving. These experiences build strong social-emotional foundations, preparing children to navigate relationships, work collaboratively, and show kindness.

Ready for the Next Step

By the end of Pre-K / UPK, children leave with strong foundations in literacy, math, and problem-solving, along with confidence, independence, and a love of learning. They are prepared to embrace new challenges, continue exploring, and grow with curiosity and resilience.
